Sparks are flying around the blogosphere again today, as we join in with Alyce, At Home With Books, to showcase our Saturday Snapshots.
This week, I sifted through some photos and found a theme that sparked my interest.
Eyes. Yes, the eyes have it. And today I’m sharing Fiona’s eyes, from toddler days to teens.
Here she is at eighteen months.
In the shot, she was covering her lower face, so I cropped it even more to spotlight the eyes.
And here’s one of her as a teen, on New Year’s Eve.
I found this perplexed set of eyes on her Facebook page.
Now I’m eager to visit all of your creations. Come on by and share….

I love the eyes…they’re great photos!!
Thanks, Staci…I got the idea from the one on her Facebook page, which I didn’t crop.
The others I cropped to match.
Glad you could stop by, and enjoy your weekend.
Beautiful eyes!
Thanks, Margaret…I do love how the eyes express such different emotions. Glad you could stop by, and enjoy your weekend.
What a lovely girl. I love the toddler picture too.
I think that’s one of my favorites, Cath. She had blond curly hair. I have another toddler picture I love of her with her brunette cousin of the same age (both born in Feb. 1997). They look like total opposites.
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend.
Great idea to focus on the eyes. When I look at my 18-year-old son, who had the biggest, bluest eyes as a little boy, I notice now that the dark eyebrows kind of shadow those previously big eyes. That didn’t happen to Fiona. She looks gorgeous in all of the shots. Here’s Mine
Thanks…but girls can shape their brows…lol
The blue eyes come from my son, her father; and before him, the grandpa.
That was one of the first things I noticed about him when we met…
Thanks for stopping by, Paulita…and enjoy your weekend.
She’s got beautiful eyes even when she looks perplexed.
Oh, I think so, too, Kathy. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.
She has very striking eyes indeed! I love the baby ones – they’re so cute
Oh, I love them, too, Trish. I’m very glad that I took a lot of photos back then. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend.
Her eyes are so gorgeous. That first photo is priceless!
I love that one, too, Kaye. I’m glad that she lives nearby so I can photograph her often. But lots of times, the pix come from her Facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the weekend.
Great idea to post just the eyes and her are very expressive.
I think so, too, Leslie. Glad you could stop by…have a wonderful weekend.
That’s a great idea! What do they say – the eyes are the windows to the soul. Lovely!
Oh, I agree, Eugenia…and in books, we often find characters staring into one another’s eyes.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.
That’s an interesting way of spotlighting her — great pictures!
Thanks, Lisa…I got the idea from the “perplexed” photo, which showed just the eyes. I cropped the others.
Glad you could stop by…have a great weekend.
I love that you spotlighted her eyes through the years. Geat idea, and great pictures. Book Savvy Babe
Thanks, Book Savvy Babe…I do love looking at and photographing eyes, and think they’re the most expressive part of her face.
