A BIT OF ME (ME)

Good morning, and welcome to Danielle’s intriguing meme, hosted at There’s A Book.

This is our opportunity to share bits and pieces of our “real lives,” outside the web, and to garner some tidbits about the rest of you.

Today’s question:

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD (RESTAURANT)?

That’s kind of difficult, because, depending on my mood, the answers could vary tremendously.  If I’m in a mood for Mexican food, or Italian food, or just plain down home food….Well, you can see the problem.

But then I zeroed in on where I go when I really want to share some good food, a few drinks, and divine desserts—and in the company of good friends and family—and here’s what I discovered.

I LOVE “THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY”!

It’s a great place for girlfriends to get together, and my daughter and I love it too.  We usually have a couple of drinks, luscious salads (or pasta), and we share a divine dessert.  (After the drinks and dinner, that’s the only sensible thing to do! lol).

I recall my very first Cheesecake Factory experience.

Visiting my son and his family in LA, we decided to go out to eat “downtown,” which meant Hollywood.  We sat outside at lovely tables and just luxuriated in the breeze that floated around us.  It’s never that hot or cold in LA (except when it is!), but mostly the weather is balmy and wonderful.  So my memories are now mixed up and associated forever with Cheesecake Factory dining.

What about your experiences?  Do you have favorite memories that connect you to particular foods/restaurants?  I’m sure that if you do, those feelings intensify your moments spent there.  I hope you’ll stop by and share some.

  1. Oh! If I had to pick one that we go to on a regular basis, one that is “close by” this would definitely be it! In fact, I think I’ve eaten at that very Hollywood Cheesecake Factory. Everything you order is SO good, not to mention the cheesecake itself. Delicious! Perfect choice!

  2. I don’t think they have that restaurant in Canada, but I’m not a huge fan of cheesecake anyway. My mother-in-law made some brownies recently that were to die for though. 🙂
