A BIT OF ME (ME) — FAVORITE MALE CHARACTER

In her typical fashion, our host at There’s A Book tossed out another question to make us think.

Today’s question:

WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE MALE CHARACTER, IN A BOOK/MOVIE/TV SHOW, AND WHY?

Now you’d think there would be so many that it would be difficult to choose just one—right?

When I’m reading, I’m sure that some of those guys leap off the pages and grab my attention.  Some of them even linger in my mind afterwards…

But maybe my favorites are from the visual media because I can’t really conjure up lasting images from books like I can from movies or TV.

One of my favorite shows is The Closer. Dramatic, exciting, and full of action; but it also has those personal moments between the characters that make them seem real.

Fritz and Brenda with Kitty

From this pose, you wouldn’t know that Fritz is a tough FBI agent, regularly bringing down the bad guys. Or that Brenda is the saccharine-sweet-talking cop who zooms in for the kill.

Fritz (portrayed by Jon Tenney) has that tough exterior, but inside, he can be gentle and tender.  Just the way a woman wants him to be.

Ready for Action!

That’s Jon Tenney again, on the left side of Kyra.

And then, almost as if he’s flipped over to another version of himself, you see him like this:

Relaxing at Home

So there you have it.

My heroes are tough, vulnerable, gentle, tender and…oh, yeah!  Hunky!

What about you?  Who are your favorites in books, movies, TV?  I hope you’ll stop by and share.

    • I had never really noticed the actor Jon Tenney in anything else he’d been in, but I love him as Fritz!

Thanks for stopping by, Danielle, and yes, this is definitely a series that BOTH partners can enjoy.
