Our Saturdays begin with this delightful meme hosted by Danielle, at There’s A Book.

Every week, she poses a question directed toward peeling that old onion and revealing more bits and pieces of our real selves (as opposed to our blogging personas).

Today’s Question:

I could say blogging is a hobby, but it’s more like a passion—sometimes it feels like work, although I really enjoy it.  At one point I had twenty blogs, but I’ve whittled them down to sixteen by combining some of them.

For a full glimpse of them, visit my website.

One of the reasons I enjoy creating and changing up those blogs is my other hobby—I am a frustrated interior designer (and collector). I absolutely love arranging and rearranging rooms, mostly to display some of my collections which I’ve discovered over the years.  They’re not expensive collections—some would even call them kitsch!  But they’re special in some way to me.

Mary Engelbreit Cookie Jars
Hats and Handbags
Minnie Mouse Phone and Other Fairytale Stuff
Birdhouses & Birdcages
These Official Greeters Are On My Hall Tree
Coca Cola Stuff, etc.

Okay, just as I do with my collections, I got a bit carried away here!  I think you get the picture (pun intended).

What do you all like to do in your “spare” time?  I hope you’ll stop by and share some tidbits.

    1. Oh, Gwen, don’t get ME started! I can’t even recall when I became an Engelbreit fan (and collector), but I pored over her magazine and the books she put out featuring her houses and decor.

I was sad when she stopped putting out her magazine a year or so ago, but I have collected many of the older issues.

I buy from her online store, and also shop in a little store in one of our suburbs.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow! 16 blogs! Oh my! I can hardly keep my one, plus the other I contribute to, straight. It’s so tough. But you seem to handle it quite well. 🙂

I love your collections! SO fun! I’ve been a Mary Engelbreit fan for a long time. My mom was the one who started bringing home books and notepads and then coffee mugs…it just never ended and I love it all. So cute, with so many great little sayings!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Danielle…I think my favorite Engelbreit sayings are those that show “attitude,” like “snap out of it.”

Yes, sixteen blogs IS a lot, but for a little bit, I had twenty. I’m glad I merged and combined some of them.
