In today’s segment of A Bit of Me (Me), hosted by There’s A Book, we get to follow our bliss as it leads us to our dancing selves.
Today’s Question:
WHAT SONG MAKES YOUR TOES TAP?
For a few seconds, I thought…hmm. Sometimes I have a hard time conjuring up those dancing images, since I haven’t danced a lot lately.
But then I recalled when I was dancing in my dining room to the sound of my CD from Mama Mia. My very favorite piece on the whole soundtrack was Dancing Queen.
And when I put this CD into my cute little miniature jukebox, I’m dancing all over the place! What a sight to behold…LOL. But it’s good cardio exercise.
Now that we’ve opened up this topic, I think I’m going to turn it on now and dance away the ice cream I ate last night!
What gets your juices flowing (music wise!)? I hope you’ll stop in and share.
I too love all of ABBA’s songs. Fun stuff. Love that jukebox too. Very cool.

Thanks, Suey…I was going through my “vintage” phase when I discovered it in a little shop I used to frequent….
I really loved the big one, but it wouldn’t fit in my downsized space!

Oh ya, love Abba! I’ve really been into 80’s rock lately.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Yes, the music of ABBA is certainly the kind to make us dance in the aisles, which some of us saw during the sing-along movie! Thanks for stopping by, Vicki.

Hey, we both love show tunes!
I have to admit, this talk of music lead to me cranking it up and dancing around the house. May I have the next dance?

Sure, why not? LOL
The best thing about dancing is you can dance alone in your living room if you like. Thanks for stopping by, Gwen.

We rented Mamma Mia a few weeks ago and I must admit that singing along with all the songs was too much fun. Also made me hunt down all my ABBA CDs and copy them to my laptop 🙂

It’s strange, too, since while I enjoyed ABBA during their heyday (the eighties, I think!), it wasn’t until Mama Mia that I got into this full-on toe-tapping mood.
Thanks for stopping by, Lynn.

I love ABBA! Well, and basically anything from show tunes. During high school I was in choir and addicted to musicals & anything with a really good beat. Great choice!
Isn’t it fantastic how the right music can just get you in a wonderful mood? I’m definitely one that goes through fazes of funkiness and I know without a doubt that music gets my toes tapping and my mood lifted. It’s fabulous!

Yes, definitely! Music is food for the soul…I really believe that. And obviously, for the toes, too!

Well, it’s never too late, J. Kaye! Since the critics hadn’t given it much of a rating, I wasn’t expecting much. But I always enjoy watching Meryl Streep. I was stunned by how much I loved it, especially the songs; and I’m not usually a fan of musicals.
I liked it enough to buy the DVD.

I really like Abba too 🙂 I ended up picking an Erasure cover of Take a Chance On Me!
