Today I’m spotlighting a book I received from Amazon Vine (an ARC), called The Other Family, by Joanna Trollope.
An unexpected line in a will leads to complications and new beginnings in Trollope’s eminently readable latest (after Friday Nights).
Beginning: Looking back, it astonished her that none of them had broken down in the hospital. Even Dilly, who could be relied on to burst into tears over a shed eyelash, had been completely mute.
Now I’m curious…aren’t you? We know that some kind of hospital emergency has unfolded—something apparently astonishing enough to leave someone mute.
56: “It won’t take long,” Chrissie said. “It’s merely a formality. I know exactly what’s in that will because Dad and I agreed to it together…”
