CREATIVE SPARKS — SATURDAY SNAPSHOT — NOV. 26

Good morning!  I hope everyone finally came out of that turkey coma…with all the lethargy, etc.  If you had turkey, of course, and if you celebrated Thanksgiving….lol

Today we’re sparking a bit of creativity by showcasing some favorite old (or new) photos taken by family/friends/ourselves.  Hosted by Alyce, At Home With Books, this event helps us share some favorite moments with our friends in the blogosphere.

Okay, taking a photo of pumpkin pie?  Well, I love it a lot…and I got to show some of my quirky holiday decorative ornamentation.

One of my favorite holiday treats

And here’s a photo of granddaughter Aubrey (on the left) showing off a costume for the “First Thanksgiving.”

Now I’m off to see what the rest of you captured!  Have a great day!

  1. Mmm pumpkin pie with a dollop of whipped cream? Delicious! I also like the girls’ costume – I used to LOVE dressing up as a Native when I was younger. I even made myself a bow and arrow out of sticks and some string.

    1. Oh, your costume sounds good…and reminds me, too, of the year when, as a teen, I dressed as Pocahontas with a gunny sack dress and wearing my hair like my granddaughter’s!

That whipped cream on the pie is low fat…lol. For guilt free eating, ha-ha!

      Thanks for stopping by, Trish.

    1. I didn’t get any turkey until last night, when we went to Marie Callender’s…but I had pumpkin pie (on Thursday, and again last night).

Thanks for stopping by, Paulita…and I love the costumes, too.

    1. Yes, Leslie, I also love apple pie…especially with a dollop of ice cream!

For Aubrey to look serious is quite a feat. She’s usually smiling, laughing, and being mischievous. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. We don’t have pumpkin pie in Australia, and I really can’t remember if I’ve ever had any, I’d certainly love to try some. Perhaps I will have to make some one day?

    1. I think pumpkin pie is probably an acquired taste, if you’re not used to it. In the US South, there is another favorite that is similar: sweet potato pie.

Thanks for stopping by, Louise, and enjoy your weekend.
