Sparks are flying around the blogosphere again today, as we join in with Alyce, At Home With Books, to showcase our Saturday Snapshots.
This week, I’m sharing some more shots of family members. The first one is one from the series I spotlighted a few weeks ago at the sculpture, captured in 1991. The four “kids” are posing in an unusual fashion.
Fast-forward to present day, and here’s granddaughter Fiona with a friend.
Now let’s take a look at my daughter Heather and another kind of friend.
A potpourri of quirkiness from my house to yours.
What are you featuring today? I can’t wait to find out…..
I always love your family photos, Laurel. Maybe not the snake – ick – but the rest. LOL

Thanks, Kay…and I couldn’t believe she wrapped that THING around her neck.
I am not a fan of snakes!
Glad you could stop by…and enjoy your weekend.

Heee! What a lot of fun they’re having. My son’s roommate had a snake like that only smaller. He used to wrap it around his neck and take it outside for walks in the park.

Yes, I prefer keeping my distance from those creatures, but I can enjoy the photo! lol
Thanks for visiting, Trish, and for sharing your snake story!
Enjoy your weekend.

I love unusual poses! Nothing wrong with everyone standing next to each other, but it’s fun to shake it up sometimes! And that snake, wow! That is a brave girl.

Oh, I know! Heather also sky-dives, so she does enjoy a bit of risk-taking.
Thanks for stopping by, Cheryl, and I love that pose of the four kids, too.

I love those innovative shots. I agree that the snake around the neck would not be an option for me. Here’s Mine

Not my kind of neck piece either, Paulita…lol

Yuck!! I would never even touch that thing!!!
We went to Winslow AZ as well mainly because we were intrigued by the signposts for Standin’ on the Corner and trying to figure out what it referred to! We were showing our age thinking of “standing on the corner watching all the girls go by”… LOL
Now we blast the radio whenever the Eagles song comes on!!!

I had no idea about the Winslow, AZ themed shops, etc., until I went there. It was fun…and I did enjoy remembering that song.
Thanks for visiting, Jake, and have a great weekend.
Snakes can stay far away from me and I’m happy!

I love the unusual photos, and especially with your daughter and her “unusual” friend. My kids love those things. They give me the willys.

Love the snake! Yes, I will pick them up. They are soft, warm creatures and feel like an expensive leather handbag.

EWWW…Leslie, lol
I think I might have touched one once…but not long enough to make the connection to a leather bag.
Thanks for sharing that; now I might not ever touch leather handbags again…lol
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the weekend.

Love the unusual photo of your kids! Reminds me of the Partridge Family or Brady Bunch 🙂
Not so crazy about the snake though…EEEEK!! 😉

Hey, you’re right about the Partridge Family similarity…now imagine a very quirky quartet, with a weird sense of humor, and you’ve got my kids pegged.
Thanks for stopping by, Patty…and enjoy your weekend.

I just slipped that in last, just to do that to you, Diane…lol
I thought it would make a nice ending to an apparently normal gallery showing of kids and grandkids.

I like that first shot too- I’m sure there’s a Beatles album cover that looks a bit like that. I got a photo with one of those massive snakes once, because my son wanted to of course- I have a very nervous smile on my face, and my hands are placed ready to throw that thing if it tried anything! Your daughter looks much braver than me.

She’s definitely a lot braver than I am, too, Louise. I wouldn’t even touch the thing!
And you’re right about the Beatles album…it is now appearing in my mind. Was it Abbey Road?
Anyway, my eldest son set up the shot (he’s also in the photo), and he was way into the Beatles scene then.
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend.
