CREATIVE SPARKS: SATURDAY SNAPSHOT — APRIL 14

Sparks are flying around the blogosphere again today, as we join in with Alyce, At Home With Books, to showcase our Saturday Snapshots.

Even though the past several days have been rainy ones, there were spring moments in recent weeks.  And today’s snapshots are reminders of the spring.

Here are two more photos of Fiona enjoying spring days and nights.

Fiona in a field of flowers

I like the alliteration of that…Fiona in a field of flowers.

And here’s Fiona trying on a dress for the prom.  She has a quirky sense of style that I enjoy.

Now I can’t wait to see her all “glammed up” with the dress and a hairstyle befitting it.

What are the rest of you showcasing today?  Come on by and share your links….

    1. Every week, I see something new in photos of Fiona….I don’t have as many to share of the other grandkids lately, but I’ve captured them in my header today. Thanks for visiting, Diane, and enjoy your weekend (and the room we’ve envisioned for you from your snapshot!).

    1. Thanks, Staci….I was totally surprised by her choice of a dress until I thought about it. She loves anything quirky or unique. And I love her name, too. Her mother chose it because of a movie about Ireland, in which the female character is named Fiona. It totally suits her.

    1. Thanks, Kay….I wonder if it seems like she’s my favorite? lol

A lot of it is proximity, of course, and I think we bond more to the ones we see a lot. Three of the others live several hours away.

Glad you could stop by…and enjoy your weekend.

    1. I thought so, too, Louise….I even used this photo as a centerpiece for a new blog header that I’ll be showcasing soon….girls amidst the flowers. Flower children?

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.

    1. I thought about those “flower child” times, too, when I saw this photo. I created a “sixties” themed blog header from this one and a couple of others; soon I’ll be featuring that header here.

I wouldn’t have thought of this dress for prom, but it fits Fiona’s personality….

Thanks for stopping by, Kathy…have a great weekend!

  2. What a lovely young lady! Love the snap and the alliteration on the first! And her quirky penguin dress will be perfect beside her date in his penguin suit!

  3. The field of flowers photo is beautiful. And the dress, that’s just too cute, and definitely one for the very young! They can carry off those quirky styles with such charm.

  4. It’s great that she’s comfortable with being quirky. So many teenagers aren’t. My boys are off to prom next weekend. One went traditional with black and white, while the other went with white and purple! Can’t wait to see them. Here’s Mine

    1. I agree, Paulita…in many ways, she’s mature beyond her years, while still enjoying what other teens do. I’m sure you’re going to have fun sharing your boys’ prom moments, too.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great weekend.
