Sparks are flying around the blogosphere again today, as we join in with Alyce, At Home With Books, to showcase our Saturday Snapshots.
This past couple of weeks have brought some changes, like my new laptop.
While cruising around the online community, I found some photos shared by my granddaughter, Aubrey; her baby brother Silas has certainly changed a lot since the last time we saw him.
He will be two in September.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer so far.
Congratulations with you new laptop. Cute pictures of Silas and his sister too.

Thanks, Eva…it’s actually my first laptop ever, and the adjustment from the desktop keyboard to laptop has been challenging. Glad you liked the kiddie pix, too. Thanks for visiting.

Doesn’t it? In a lifetime of ice cream cones, the ones of early childhood may just be the best! Thanks for stopping by, Melissa.

I love that fist picture of Silas in the swing with his sister standing by. Hope you get to get to grips with the laptop. I always find new technology of any kind is challenging. Thanks for dropping by my blog.

I am definitely experiencing challenges, Christine…the keyboard alone is sometimes frustrating. I think I’m getting there, though.
There are still many new things to figure out, but I guess that will keep me on my toes.
Thanks for stopping by…and I love the shots of the kids, too.

I hope you like using your laptop now. It is an adjustment to get used to the keyboard but I love mine and wouldn’t change it for anything. We always take it up north with us.
Your grandchildren are precious!

I am definitely enjoying the “mobility” of it; having to recharge in the middle of a session when I lose track of time takes getting used to, not to mention the keyboard. Overall, though, I am happy about making the change.
Thanks for visiting, Kaye, and kids are like treasures.

The hardest thing for me getting used to a laptop or a tablet was the fact that I don’t have to sit at my desk, I can move around.
I hate the keyboard on my husband’s laptop, however, it clacks loudly and the keys are shifted so I make tons of typos!!

I have the most difficulty with the keyboard…and having to recharge the battery while I’m working.
Thanks for stopping by, Jackie…I find typos sometimes after I’ve posted and have to go back to change things. Also, my eyes are finding the text size difficult. I do change it by zooming, but every time I go to a new site, I have to do it all over again!

I do enjoy playing with new tech toys. I’ve just spent the better part of the afternoon rearranging things, like removing the desktop and fixing up the office. Now I want some ice cream, too, Leslie. Kids can definitely find pleasure in the simple things. And sometimes I find my inner kid. Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, Cheryl, it has taken most of the week to learn how to maneuver around, to set things up, and practice on the keyboard. Glad you could stop by.

I had a hard time adjusting to a laptop too, but now I just love it and not sure I would go back to a PC!

Even though it has been an adjustment, I already know I wouldn’t go back. To prove it, I had my son come over and take all the desktop components away. It felt like a load off…lol
Then I reorganized my office to make room for the laptop…as just one of the places where I use it. That’s what I love the most! I’m not stuck on one place with it.
Thanks for stopping by, Nise, and enjoy your weekend.

Yeah, I’m with the majority. I am addicted to my laptop. Actually I guess that’s the downside. The mobility does make it all to easy to live online! Also I probably should know but where was the Horse and Carriage photo in your sidebar taken??? I LOVE it.

Oh, thanks for noticing, Sim…in Berlin. My eldest son lives there (he’s a photographer) and captured this shot and others during the Berlin Festival of the Lights.
Glad you could stop by. I do love the mobility of the laptop and am now working at a little dropleaf table in my bedroom. The photo above was taken at my other favorite spot at the dining room table (Coca Cola). I also had my son clear out the desktop and rearranged the office so I can even work in there. But I’m not stuck there, like I was before.
