Welcome to another creative opportunity to showcase photos, via our weekly Saturday Snapshot event, hosted by Alyce, At Home With Books.
This week, it’s more foraging through the old photo albums to come up with these moments from the past.
My 1970s memories include some interior and exterior shots of what was happening then. In the top photo, it’s me and my three sons, while the second shot is one of me, relaxing a bit.
The last two shots show the outside and inside of the little mobile home in which we lived for awhile.
Next up: The Eighties
Now I’m off to explore your photos! Come on by for a chat!
It is so much fun going through old photos. Oh, the looks we used to come up with. Is that a beaded curtain? I used to have one of them!

Yes, Fran, I love searching old photos, too….and that beaded curtain was my first. I’ve had several since, and have a tie-dyed one now that I shared a few weeks ago. Thanks for visiting.

What a fun way to travel through time. I can’t believe how quickly not only years go by but decades too. Seems like only yesterday . . .

My daughter has always asked why I snap so many shots of the “interiors” in my various homes. I say that those shots help me remember when and where I’ve been, and puts the people in a context.
Thanks for visiting, Trish…and the decades definitely fly by!

There’s something irrestible about old photos isn’t there? My mother has a box of old photos, with some of herself and her brothers when they were young, and me and my brother when we were little, and my daughters, and my daughters and I always love looking through it. Most of my mother’s photos were in boxes, too; very few made it into the albums. Exploring the boxes was a lot of fun. I guess I learned the joy of photos in childhood.
Thanks for visiting, Christine…and enjoy your own memories.

Thanks for sharing your photos. We have many photos in boxes and some in albums too.

I have both kinds, too; I think the ones in boxes fared better, as the old albums (from the70s, especially) had acid pages.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your journey through photos,Carolyn.,

Fun photos! Something about the 70s, there’s no mistaking them when you see a photo. I think I had that same skirt as your top pic… and I had a few skirts that were ‘coulottes’ with the panel in the front because they were so short. Ah, memories, I hadn’t thought of those in years.

I loved that skirt, Leslie…I also had one that had hot pants underneath! Thanks for stopping by.
