Welcome to another creative opportunity to showcase photos, via our weekly Saturday Snapshot event, hosted by Alyce, At Home With Books.
Since we’re having spring weather lately, I spent last weekend with my youngest grandson, Noah, at our neighborhood park. Woodward Park has ponds, trails, and playground equipment. We took a picnic lunch there, and then I walked around taking photos.
And since the weather was so great, I did spend some time spiffing up the patio at home. Here’s a “before” shot:
And here it is “after,” ready for my book and drink.
Meanwhile, across the world in Berlin, this is what my son’s space looks like:
What has your week been like? Come on by and share!

Great pictures! I do love that Spring is nearly here for good! I was down in Florida this week so it was nice down there and when I came back to Georgia it was actually in the 40’s… I was hoping to go and get some plants to put in around our patio today, but it is apparently going to be raining this morning (it’s pouring right now), so it looks like I may be putting off that project until next weekend.
Here’s my SATURDAY SNAPSHOT post.

Thanks for visiting, Melissa. I love spring, but ours here are pretty short. By the time we realize it’s spring, the days will be heating up.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Laurelrainsnow- The park looks very nice and peaceful. And isn’t that nice to sit on the porch to read. I am very glad I don’t have to face snow. Have a great week as spring blossoms. 🙂

It’s so nice to see spring, even if it hasn’t arrived in my neck of the woods yet! Yesterday’s sunshine melted a lot of the snow, but now it’s muddy and cold instead of snowy and cold.

I hope you enjoy spring when it finally comes for you. When I’m complaining about our hot summers, I’ll remember that that’s the price I have to pay for such mild winters…lol. Thanks for stopping by, Janel.

He’s used to it. He’s been living in Eastern Europe since 1997. I keep trying to talk him into coming back to Sunny California, but so far he’s loving Europe more. Thanks for stopping by, Ali…enjoy your weekend.

Oh, I am…our spring here is very short. Summer heat starts happening sometimes in April. So we have to enjoy the short spring while we can.
Thanks for visiting, Deb.

We are only lucky until late April…then it starts heating up, and alas, no more spring!
Thanks for stopping by, Leslie…and I guess our hot summers are the price we have to pay for mild winters.

I like your park, especially the lake, and it looks much more spring-like where you are than it does here – we are struggling through snow and ice again. No Snapshot from me this week, because I only got back from Mum’s yesterday, but I like to see what everyone is doing!

I just wish I went there more often! It is so close by….but there is an admission charge for driving in, so I always put it on the back burner. I’m glad I finally went in.
We used to bike in, when my kids were young. Thanks for stopping by, Christine, and enjoy your week.

We’ve had plenty of snow here in England. My little patch of the country wasn’t too bad (a few flurries but not much snow settled) however. Still very cold, but I have my fingers crossed that it’ll warm up within the next week or so.
