This week, I’d like to share some collections. This first was from the trip my son and grandchildren took to England and France last summer.
From a few years ago, I have this collection of East European memorabilia, including some postcards. The angels are from another collection.
And as another nod to spring, here are some wind chimes on my patio. I love listening to them while I put my feet up and read.

Love the coffee cup! 🙂 The money from England is cool… I have some money from Honduras, they look like dollar bills but it actually takes 18 of them to make a dollar so when it looks like you have a lot of money you really don’t. I always had a hard time with that – it seemed like I was paying so much for something when I would have to hand over so many bills. 🙂

Oh, I love the coffee cup, too, Sheila…and I always forget to use it! It sits in a country cupboard with other favorites. I need to use it more.
I haven’t been to Europe…yet. I have mixed feelings about going and trying to understand the currency; not to mention the long flight! (I’m not a fan of flying, although there are things about it I enjoy).

I am very sentimental about collections…I have an old necklace that I wore in 1970 when I met my second husband…lol. It is a wooden “hippie-like” beaded necklace, and I drape it over the door to my jelly cupboard in the dining room. And the vintage postcards are in a little container on that same cupboard.

I should have said more about the windchimes…the moon and stars chimes were given to me by an old friend whom I met in college; she gave it to me after my last visit to her a few years ago.

I’m not sure I made it to your blog last time; it was an extremely busy day. It’s nice to have a few things to remember a trip. I have a set of windchimes made of wood. Different materials make different sounds.

I love those vintage postcards.
I have mixed feelings about wind chimes–some of them drive me nuts. We have a set now that my son insisted on years ago. It works for me because it’s not such a high-pitched tingle. 🙂

Fun collections. I forget that the UK doesn’t use Euros. I haven’t been there since the changeover to Euros throughout the rest of Europe. Here’s Mine

I would love to experience Europe, but I suspect that my “fear of flying” might be a hindrance…lol. I don’t mind short flights, but anything more than five or six hours is a problem for me.

We had friends give my daughter wind chimes at her baptism with the date written on them. It was a neat remembrance! Love your money pic, too. 🙂 -beth

Fascinating to see pounds, they’re really quite beautiful, they looked bejewelled. I’ll be using some for the first time later this year.
