Welcome to our regular feature, Saturday Snapshot, our opportunity to showcase photos we or friends and family have captured.  The event is now hosted by West Metro Mommy.

Last weekend, my daughter Heather and grandson Noah took a trip up to Northern California to visit family members there.

Here’s a shot of Heather, Noah, and Noah’s Great-Grandma.

They had a lovely time….and here’s one of Noah with his great-uncle David.

I love happy family gatherings.  They make for the perfect summer weekend.  What are you enjoying this summer?

  1. Everyone looks so happy. My brother visited from Texas with his son and grandson, not yet a year old, and they made time to see my grandmother — her first great, great grandchild. Pretty amazing. Of course, she was 16 when she got married and 17 when she had her first child. Now she’s 94.

    1. Yes, Great Grandma Mary always doted on the grandchildren…and now the greats. Her granddaughter Heather Maureen is her namesake (“little Mary.”)

Thanks for visiting, Paulita…enjoy your weekend.

    1. Oh, I hope your yard sale was fun and/or productive. I really need to do one…my garage is bursting at the seams.

Thanks for stopping by, and I’m happy about how Noah is getting to connect with his great grandma. He met my mom a few times, but he was pretty little. He barely remembers.

    1. Ah, good to know, Beth….I actually love Davis. Such a great community. I don’t know if he went there at all, but he did go to colleges in the Sacramento area, so maybe….they live in the foothills above Sacramento now.

      Thanks for stopping by….

  2. What a wonderful trip and great photos! You have a beautiful family and your daughter and grandson look like you.

Now that we have two little grandchildren we take them to visit my grandmother (age 94) often. It’s amazing to have five generations together. We are very fortunate. 🙂
