THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: How has your reading changed in the last 10 years?
***
Today I’ll respond to the random question. In the past ten years, I’ve been immersed in my post-retirement/free lance life, so reading has definitely changed.
For one thing, I started blogging eight years ago, which introduced me to books I had never encountered, and I also became compulsive about checking Amazon…and yes, clicking to buy.
And Goodreads became a part of my world in 2008.
Exposure to so many more books, and with more free time available, I was reading a lot more, as well as picking up new authors and enjoying them.
I’ve loved every minute of it!

Today I’m reading Two If By Sea, by Jacquelyn Mitchard, and she is a “favorite” author from the past, one I read many years ago, starting with Deep End of the Ocean (reviewed in 2008, but read earlier).
***
This week, my Weekly Updates on my Serendipity blog included reviews of books (and authors) I discovered in the past ten years, like Dee Ernst, Bethany Chase, and Lynda Cohen Loigman.
What has your week been like? What books are you reading?
***
I haven’t read this book–I must check it out!
Thanks for visiting my Musing. I’m excited to retire (but I still have a long way to go) so I can indulge in more reading and knitting.

Yes, I started dreaming of retirement way before the time came…lol. But, of course, it’s like wishing one’s life away, so it’s also important to stay in the moment.
Thanks for stopping by, Allison.

My mum recently retired too, I’m not sure if she’s reading more than she used to or the same amount because she too has always been an avid reader. Maybe I should try and convince her to blog, I could hold you up as an example. She proudly wouldn’t go for it though, she’s not a big one on tech.

I have learned a lot about technology since I began blogging, and I love staying connected to other readers. Even a simple blog could start the process.
Thanks for stopping by, Lauren, and enjoy your reading.

You retired and I went back to work. 🙂 You sure sound like you are enjoying what you do these days, which is so important.

Thanks, Cheryl, I didn’t realize how much my work was stressing me out (after 30 years of it!), until I was retired. I am amazed that I hung in there so long, since it really got bad toward the end (stress-wise).
I hope you enjoy what you’re doing…that’s very important.
