FRIDAY SPARKS: FAVORITE THINGS…

Good morning, Blog World!  I love playing around with my sites, so yesterday I switched the theme and header of this blog to a previous one.  A colorful one to make me feel energized.

The bright colors of the VW bug remind me of the 70s…and a sweeter time in my life.

Despite the changed world in which we live, I am feeling somewhat peaceful again, mostly because of blogging and reading.  And my penchant for reshuffling my surroundings.

I am currently reading The Swap, by Robyn Carr; the story is set on an island near Seattle, a setting I love!

“No list of thrillers is complete without Robyn Harding,” proclaims Real Simple. Now the USA TODAY bestselling author of The Party delivers a riveting tale about the toxic relationship between two couples after a night of sexual shenanigans, and the manipulative teenager with an explosive secret at the center of it all.

Now I am waiting for a supermarket delivery, something I especially enjoy these days.  I usually order on Fridays so that I’ll have special goodies for the weekend.  Even though meals are delivered to our apartments, and on alternate days we eat in the dining room, I love having items I have picked out for myself.

Today I even ordered some Champagne splits and Cranberry juice for mimosas.

I squeezed everything into this tiny fridge…and put a couple of things in the freezer.  Wow!

What is happening on your Friday?  Special events and/or books?
