When I was changing up the look of this blog today, I had some thoughts about the perfect array of photos to display in my post today. Yes, you guessed it! The once-upon-a-time hippie life I had in the 1970s.
Not just VW bugs, but yellow bell bottom pants. And curly hair. (See above). Sometimes straight hair. And rainbow hued ponchos. (Below).
We did have a VW bus for a while:
For a couple of years, we lived in an English stucco house with lots of windows and plants…and wicker furniture.
Later on in the 70s, I had flowy dresses with my curly/bushy hair:
By the end of the 70s, while I was attending graduate school and my youngest child was almost three, she celebrated the “flower child” years.

What lovely photos – it’s always nice to look through photos and reminisce, isn’t it? 🙂

I was always envious of those who got to be hippies. I am fascinated with those times.

We must be about the same age. Did the curly hair, bellbottoms, flowing dresses and lived with lots of plants and wicker too.

Thanks for stopping by, and yes, I think we must be. I loved those times, although I also appreciate and enjoy technology. The other aspects of our times…not so much. Enjoy your weekend.

I enjoyed your “blast from the past.” I lived those same years–permed hair, hip-hugger bell bottom pants, tie-dyed t-shirts–but I wasn’t a hippie. I still love most of the music from that era, too.
Enjoy your weekend, and thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

Thanks for visiting, Sandra, and I was more of a “hippie-like” person. My ideas were out there…and so were some of my clothes. But I had a job and lived in houses and apartments. LOL.
