A BIT OF ME (ME) — TAKING RISKS — MARCH 25

Good morning, and welcome to A Bit of Me (Me), hosted by There’s A Book.

Every week, we come together to share our thoughts about issues, prompted by a question.

This Weeks Question: Would you bungee jump, go hang gliding, jump out of a plane, etc? Which one and why? If not, how come?

Uh, no!  I don’t even like to fly in a plane!  Fear of Flying has kept me to flights that last five hours or less.  Maybe someday I’ll take the longer flights, because I do want to visit my son in Europe.

This is me…flying:

If there’s turbulence, I’m sure we’re going to crash. Every little bump signifies upcoming disaster.  You really don’t want to even think of sharing a flight with me…LOL

So…no, to parachuting, bungee jumping, or any other kind of “flight.”

Risk-taking of the emotional kind is more my thing.  Like the adventures in this book:

I just finished reading the sequel to this book, How to Save Your Own Life.

The primary character, like the one in the previous book, is named Isadora Wing...get it?  Take flight, folks, but metaphorically for me.

What about the rest of you?  Brave souls out there?  Share your adventures, please!

  1. You crack me up! Though I’m not actually one for flying overseas surprisingly enough. I went to Hawaii when I was in high school and I thought I was going to die! I hate flying over water! Totally freaks me out! I know, that’s strange, because no matter, it’s still dangerous where ever you are. It may have to do with my fear of sharks…who knows? LOL

    1. Even short flights can scare me, like one I took to Las Vegas (lasting only a little over an hour); it was a small plane, so every little bump felt like we were crashing for sure.

      I don’t like flying over water, either….

      Thanks for stopping by, Danielle…
