Welcome to another creative opportunity to showcase photos, via our weekly Saturday Snapshot event, hosted by Alyce, At Home With Books.
This week, I’ve gone back to search the old photo albums again, and found some shots of my daughter and me during 1978-79, when I was working on my master’s thesis. It was a great time to explore some new ideas.
The orange chair was a favorite in the living room of our duplex.
This last photo of Heather was snapped in my office. I enjoyed having my special place where I could spread out my papers and books and work. The sofa made into a bed.
And because it was special, the kids enjoyed coming into the room when I invited them.
Speaking of offices, here are some new shots of my current office…Yes, a segue back to the present.
Pretty self-explanatory-Left to right: 2 shots of the laptop; a shelf for DVDs and fairytale plush toys, next to a bookcase on the left and my book nook to the right; and finally, my full bookshelf next to the sofa and TV.
Now I’m off to check out your featured photos.
Love the first photo!

What a sweet little line up in that chair! The dolls look almost as big as little Heather!

Yes, that’s a favorite of mine, too; she’s showing us how cozy she feels with her friends. I still have the Raggedy Ann doll. Now she’s in my book nook. Thanks for visiting, Susan.

I do love those memories…too bad that while going through those years, I was often stressed out and overwhelmed. But the photo moments were a true pleasure; going
through them and looking back. Thanks for visiting, Paulita.

Love the dress in the first photo! And I definitely see a resemblance between you in that photo and your daughters and granddaughters in past posts.

That was my favorite dress for quite awhile…I think there are several pix of me wearing it. I had a friend who said it was my “witch” dress…lol
I wore it until it literally fell apart. Thanks for visiting, Alyce…and I have heard that my daughter and I resemble each other. I think I see it more between my daughter and granddaughter…

That one with the dolls is too cute! I think I may have had the same Raggedy Ann doll…

Love your old family photos! Sadly, ours got ruined when we lived in California. Thankfully my mom had a bunch of the kids when they were small.

Some of my old photos are discolored and stuck to the photo album…and the albums are kind of falling apart, too. I think the best shots are the black and whites…they haven’t changed. Thanks for visiting, Vicki….
