Sparks are flying around the blogosphere again today, as we join in with Alyce, At Home With Books, to showcase our Saturday Snapshots.
Last week, I spotlighted some photos taken by my son of an old abandoned sanitarium.
This week, I’m showing some inside photos.
And here’s another outdoor photo….
I can’t wait to see what the rest of you have spotlighted this week.
Fascinating – where is the Sanitarium?

I think it must have….some of these photos my son captioned “Beauty in the ruins.” It does seem symbolic of the fading beauty of age (and decay).

Oh, so do I, Jill. I think it’s interesting that the “rust” color, which is probably a faded version of its original color, evokes the image of something “rusting.”

That’s a good question, Diane…I’ll have to ask him. Since it’s abandoned, I’m guessing it’s just sitting there. What a waste!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.

I do too, Annie. Wouldn’t that be a great task? I’m hoping that whoever is in charge doesn’t just tear it down.

I love the perspective of the stairs in the first picture. And the fact that it’s run down adds character to the photo. So much happening in that shot.

I love the vintage wear on the building, and how despite age the space is still in relatively decent shape. The colors are surprisingly bright. Great pictures. Book Savvy Babe
